Pecan Bars


CRUST
1 pkg (250g) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda

FILLING
2 eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups chopped pecans

CRUST:
1. Preheat oven to 350'F.
2. Beat cream cheese, softened butter, granulated sugar and 2 tsp vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
3. Add flour and baking soda; mix well.
4. Press firmly onto bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
5. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browed.

FILLING:
6. Meanwhile, combine eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and 1 tsp vanilla in large bowl.
7. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly onto warm crust.
8. Bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is firm around the edges and slightly soft in the centre. Cut into 60 bars.
